Cultivating the Future of Longevity Nutrition: Inside CLP’s Partnership with Cultifutura
At Clinique La Prairie, innovation is a continuous journey. Across all four pillars of our Longevity Method: Medical, Nutrition, Wellbeing, and Movement we constantly seek new ways to elevate health, enhance vitality, and push the boundaries of preventive science. One of the areas where innovation holds extraordinary potential is nutrition, because what we eat profoundly shapes our longevity, metabolic resilience, cognitive clarity, and cellular health.
This is why our collaboration with Cultifutura, a pioneer in vertical farming and urban agriculture, marks an exciting new chapter in the future of longevity nutrition. Their flagship technology, CultEvo, is an elegant, IoT-powered indoor farming system designed to grow microgreens, herbs, baby leaves, and medicinal plants in fully controlled environments. These systems recreate ideal light and hydration cycles using sun-mimicking LED spectrums, automated irrigation, and real-time monitoring.
For our guests, this means something extraordinary: access to ultra-fresh, nutrient-rich plants grown directly on-site at Montreux, harvested minutes before they appear in their meals, infusions or therapeutic programs.
Scientific evidence highlights why this matters. Research included in Cultifutura’s nutrition appendix shows that many essential nutrients degrade rapidly after harvest. For instance, vitamin C can decrease by up to 86% within 10 days of refrigerated storage, and spinach can lose 80% of its vitamin C in just three days. Similar losses occur with vitamin B9, carotenoids, and vital minerals such as iron, manganese, and magnesium. By growing on-site, these losses are avoided enabling us to serve plants at their peak antioxidant, polyphenol, and micronutrient potency.
For CLP, vertical farming is much more than a sustainability initiative; it is a way to align food production with therapeutic intent. Working hand-in-hand with Cultifutura’s experts, we are selecting plant species tailored to our programs from antioxidant-rich varieties for Master Detox, to micronutrient-dense greens for Healthy Weight, to polyphenol-rich plants for Longevity diets.
The collaboration also strengthens the guest experience. CultEvo units become a living expression of wellness inside CLP: visible, inspiring, and educational. They invite guests to reconnect with the origin of their food and to discover how nutrition can be both a sensory pleasure and a scientific tool for longevity. As highlighted in the Cultifutura press release, the system is designed to be “a perfect meeting of design, style and practicality,” fitting seamlessly into spaces such as homes, hotels, and culinary environments.
By integrating vertical farming into our nutritional philosophy, we bring food and medicine closer than ever. This partnership is a testament to CLP’s ongoing commitment to advancing longevity through evidence-based innovation and to imagining a future where what we grow, and how we nourish ourselves, becomes a central pillar of living longer, healthier, and better.
